And, so the film "Across the Universe " begins.
It's an interesting idea, well maybe not interesting, but it's an idea -
to make a movie based on Beatles songs & try to tie some sort of storyline around it.
And there was alright singing and alright choreography,
although the singing sounded fairly manufactured at times.
But, for feck's sake - when they asked who 'Prudence' was and were met with the response
"She came in through the bathroom window",
I'd had enough.
Anyway, the blog title above, in case you don't know, is from the (mainly Lennon) song "Girl",
which, apparently, he wrote in response to Paul's song "Michelle",
which he deemed to be a bit 'lovey-dovey',
in order to take the piss.
Now, personally, I think both songs are shite,
in comparison to what the lads were capable of.
But, then again, what do I know?
I quite like "The Frog Chorus".
